Not too surprising, I guess. Lots of initial enthusiasm and then lots of distractions to keep us away from the workshop and keeping those old computers going. Or, in my case, even to getting them up and running! I hope that we'll start to see some more activity and correspondence once the holidays are done and people have some breathing space and time to spend on other projects. Many of us are busy with "real life" -- jobs, family, etc. But, I still have lots of little H89-related projects on the back burner. I'm currently trying to fix a Z89-37 controller board at the moment. -- "Never doubt that the work of a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. WD-40 can be used to restore old ribbons, up to a point. ["stamp pad ink" can also be used for the same purpose, but getting either evenly distributed throughout the ribbon is not easy). But for a ribbon manufactured 25 years ago, that may be expecting just a bit too much. There's a difference between defibrillation and resurrection. -----Original Message----- From: sebhc at sebhc.org [mailto:sebhc at sebhc.org] On Behalf Of Ken Harty Sent: Sunday, December 05, 2004 1:29 PM To: sebhc at sebhc.org Subject: Re: [sebhc] H-25 printer - any interest?? If you haven't already checked out the disk archive, you should do that. There are a number of disk images there. Many of the old HUG disk are there as well as some HDOS. You should look and see if there are some that you have that you'd like to add. Please note that we are being careful about copyright so some of your disk may have to wait until someone can locate the valid copyright holder. Still, a report on what items you may have is good. If you have a serial board, I have written a program to move images to and from a PC ( must be DOS, not DOS under windozs ). One of the other fellows is working on a windozs interface but this is all time limited by the season.
