The stock SY: driver that came with HDOS 1.4 and 2.0 only supported the
H17 controller with single-sided 40-track hard-sectored disks. But I
think someone (Ray Livingston? Peter Shkbara?) wrote an improved version
that supported single/double sided and 40/80 track drives with the H17
controller. Certainly the SY: disk driver that came with HDOS 3.0
supported these formats.
The HUG DK: driver handled the H37 disk controller for HDOS. It
supported single/double sided, single/double density, and 40/80 track
drives.
