Hi
It is quite common to have the lubrication of these
stepper motors dry up. Before giving up on it, try getting
some new oil into the bearings.

I use complete disk images ( actually prefer them ). The
problem is that right now, my images don't match any of the
current formats used by the simulators. I use raw images.
I'm looking at being able to handle other formats but I've
been involved in a massive spring cleanup that has been
consuming much of my free time.
I think Patrick or someone was going to release it to
the ftp soon. It is used to copy disk images to and from
a H89 ( hasn't been tested on a H8 yet ), via that LP serial
port, to a PC serial. It is also designed to bootstrap a
machine from ground zero. That is, H89 ( or H8 ),
a unformatted 10 sectored disk, serial cable and a PC.
One enters about 50 bytes using the monitor and then
bootstraps a disk copy program.
