I've posted a copy of my (very preliminary) H8 emulator with
H17 support at:

   http://www.dunfield.com/pub/H8H17.ZIP

This appears to boot the HDOS 1.6 disk fine.

I found one image in my collection which tries to boot HDOS 2.0
(sorry, don't know what is was originally as the long filenames
dissapate when I download - but I'm sure it came from the SEBHC
archive).

It boots, prompts for the date, and then appears to "hang".

I have discovered that if you type like crazy to fill the console
input buffer until it begins to beep, then hit BACKSPACE a few
times while it is still beeping, it unlocks, continues with the
HDOS startup prompt, and everything appears to work normally
after that...

I can't really tell what is happening, because it hangs in a loop
between several subroutines up in high memory, and I do not have any
listings for that ...

If anyone can offer some light as to what is happening, that would
be most helpful.

Regards,
Dave
