Hi
 You might get a little more agressive. Use some
cardboard with rubbing compound on them.
 Also, make sure you are not seeing the pressure
pad side doing damage. While it most likely won't
be pretty, it won't remove data. These can usually
be restored by carefully scraping with a knife edge.
